Kath Day is enjoying life as an empty nester until her recently married daughter Kim moves back in. To Kim's disgust, Kath has a lover and they're going for it like rabbits. Kath's wedding plans are thrown into chaos when she discovers that Kim has really stacked on the weight and doesn't fit into her bridesmaid's dress. Sharon discovers self-help and motivational books and considers marriage counselling as a career. Her reading is soon put to the test as a complete breakdown of all relationships erupts. A round table counselling session produces startling revelations, but talk to the face cos the hand ain't listening!

Kath's flat out organising the wedding and the stress is starting to show. Comments about her looks are making her worry that Kel is losing interest. When Kel stands Kath up one too many times, Kath is determined to move on without him. Meanwhile Brett's in the freezer while Kim plays ice maiden. Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen is Kim's motto but Sharon puts an ice pick in the works.
Money
Kath is scrimping and saving money to pay for the ritziest fairytale-style wedding on her own. After gambling and competitions fail to raise the much-needed cash, Kath organises a lingerie party with Kim and Sharon modelling the merchandise and serving hot suggestions. Kim discovers something she's really good at, internet chat rooms and online shopping with Kath's credit card. With the help of a modem, Kim is determined to meet the man of her dreams. Beware the lace snap crotch teddy!
Party
Kath Day's wedding is weeks away and Kim organises a top hens night. With a stick on bra, fake tan and a one-sleeved top, Kath is ready to party. However things go horribly wrong when they unwittingly imbibe some illicit substances. And then there's Kel's Buck turn, but don't go there girlfriend.
The Wedding
The day of the ritziest fairy tale wedding has arrived. With punch served from the rubbish bin and a tarp over the clothesline, the guests arrive at 4.45pm for a 4.46pm start. A unique chain of events leads to a nuptials that no one will ever forget, well not quickly anyway.
The Announcement
Kim Craig nee Day's marriage is still up the proverbial and newlywed Kath Day-Knight's libido has gone awol. They both look deep inside their chasms and think outside the box with some very positive results.
Inside Out
Although Kel is getting right up Kath's goat - literally - they find they still have some marital niggles to iron out. Brett has finally popped the "R" word and Kim's head is filled with nothing but silly putty.
The Moon

Kath and Kel are rattling around in that big house and Kath thinks Kel has genes to die for. Kim becomes gropable when Brett won't talk about his privates. Sharon has a calling.
The Shower
Kim doesn't give a fat rats that Tina isn't coming to the baby shower as long as she drops off a present. Kath's head is screwed on backwards when Kel's mate Sandy Freckle arrives.
The Hideous Truth
Brett's got to be at Computacity Maribynong for the grand opening and misses Kim's labour. Kim gets a rude shock and everyone's past catches up with them.
Cactus Hour
Like her wine time nuts, Kath's feelings are mixed at this late stage when Gary arrives back to stake his claim. Kel is hamstrung as Gary has Kath over a barrel. Meanwhile, Kim is loving herself sick as a new mum. She is blown away at how gross Epponnee's motor skills are. Ditto Brett.

Brett has a reality check when he babysits lil' Eps. Meanwhile, Kel is up to his eyeballs in lamb flaps and honey soy drumettes.
Sitting on a Pile
Kim counts her chicken feet before they hatch as a family crisis takes Brett and Epponnee to the Gold Coast. Meanwhile, Kath feels that she and Kel have been too into each other - you know, physically - and they decide to spread their wings (socially that is).
Kicking Up a Stink
Kimmy kicks up a major stink in her bid to trim down as Sharon discovers her inner fascist at Boot Camp. Meanwhile, Kel's palm pilot is up to pussy's bow, but Kath can't find a window.
Hello Nails!
Hooray! Sharon's got a date. Kim gives Sharon a major makeover and all fingers are crossed. All stops are out in a nail-biting sequence when Kath and Kel try to update their home theatre system (I mean it is almost three years old). Meanwhile, Brett gets on Kel's wick.
High and Dry
Kim has always seen herself in a cul-de-sac, but Brett has bigger plans. His exciting news means Kim has to pull her considerable weight financially. Ditto Kath, whose new career venture has her stimulated big time, and that is good for everyone. As per usual, Sharon drives everyone mad.
Foxy on the Run
Fifty is the new forty in the Day-Knight household, and Kath plans a celebration for Kel and pulls out all the stops for a Nibbles to end all Nibbles. Meanwhile, the jury is still out on Sharon's godmother status, and Kim gets holier than thou. Brett has an epiphany on a Buckin' Bronco.

The clock ticks loudest for Sharon as she waits in the wings like a white ant.
