The Cain family is thrown into disarray when teenage son Leopold is kidnapped. The family disagrees with how to handle the situation--should they call the police, or pay the ransom?

Special Delivery

Something from Conrad's past may have a connection to Leopold's kidnapping. Conrad meets with his father to explore this. A package arrives which makes the Cain's wonder if Leopold was the only child targeted for kidnapping. Knapp heads to Brown University to find Aubrey.

Sorry, Wrong Number

At the insistence of Knapp and King the Cain's host their annual charity ball so that people won't figure out that Leopold has been kidnapped.

Number One with a Bullet

As Virgil (Mykelti Williamson) is prepped for surgery Special Agent Latimer King (Delroy Lindo) realizes something is wrong, as the hired assassin -- "The Accountant" (guest star James Urbanial) -- attempts to tie up loose ends by posing as a surgeon. Elsewhere Knapp (Jeremy Sisto) goes undercover to investigate the specialized bullet that struck down Virgil. Meanwhile, Conrad Cain (Timothy Hutton) is interrogated by detectives regarding the murder of his childhood friend who was last seen leaving the Cain's residence. Dana Delany (Ellie Cain) tries to find comfort by joining an anonymous group for parents whose children have been abducted.

Burn, Baby, Burn

Knapp (Jeremy Sisto) and Special Agent Latimer King (Delroy Lindo) sift through the burned-out remains of what was Schroeder Textiles and discover the room was carefully and expensively rigged to detonate on command. King and Agent Atkins (Michael Mosley) soon learn the body found at the scene wasn't Schroeder (guest star Doug Hutchison) and now armed with the suspect's real name - the agents join Knapp in a race to find the suspected mastermind. Elsewhere, Leopold (Will Denton) struggles to reach the cell phone he lifted from the doctor before its battery dies.
