Missing Persons Squad have to solve the case of a 28-year-old female marketing executive who appears to have simply walked away from every thing in her life, having left everything of hers behind. She was last seen by her doorman on the night that she vanished, her apartment appears to be intact with even her purse and cell phone left behind in her apartment. Her parents and co-workers reveal that she is a hard worker, and that she is a loner and had just been dumped by a married co-worker with whom she had an affair. A security tape from her apartment building shows her walking away into the night. Jack fears that she is lost forever until a ransom note appears on her mother's email list demanding a million dollars for her safe return.
For his eleventh birthday, Gabe Freedman is going to a baseball game at Yankee Stadium with his father. When the two get separated at the subway station, Bob is convinced he will meet up with his son at the next station, or at the park itself. After being unsuccessful in locating his son, Bob calls in the team who is convinced that the boy was abducted until evidence leads them to believe that Gabe may have run off on purpose.

Martin thanks Danny for his help, and tells him that he is continuing to seek counseling for his addiction.

The team learns that Malia Norton is a smart model resident who is 13 months into her 18-month sentence for a DUI car accident that killed a classmate and crippled her sisters boyfriend. Upon discovering that the detention centers alarm was rigged, Martin wonders if Malia escaped or was the victim of foul play. As the agents investigate why she was recently manhandled and threatened by other detainees, they also try to locate the man who recently visited Malia at the facility.
Samantha is concerned that Jack is more concerned about an Albanian mob boss than he is the man's missing mistress and son.
The team investigates the disappearance of a construction worker only to learn he's been lying to his wife and may have been suicidal.
Martin and the team search for Katie, a young woman who goes missing after a priest performs an exorcism on her. Katie's brother asks for Martin's assistance because Katie spoke fondly of him when she interned at the FBI when Martin was still working on White-Collar crimes. He and the team soon discover that the priest, who also vanished, was suspected of murder last year when a man died during his exorcism. They also learn that Katie scheduled the exorcism because her mental illness, well managed with medications for many years, is now causing her to feel like she's being possessed by something "dark." Meanwhile, Jack and Anne forge ahead with their plans to buy an apartment together as they prepare for their baby's birth.

Jack goes undercover as a player at the club and, unbeknownst to his team, is soon at the mercy of Cynthia Neuwirth (Thompson), a dangerous acquaintance of Alex's who is convinced that Jack was hired to kill her.

The team searches for a 17-year-old high school basketball star who vanishes the night he scores the winning basket at a game that secures his team's position in the state championships. Ted's working-class immigrant parents explain that Ted had become an emancipated minor in order to join another school district's top-ranked team that attracts the notice of college recruiters. However, the agents wonder if Ted's real objective was to move out of the home of his heavy-drinking, wife-beating father, who may have had a role in his disappearance. The agents also try to decipher why Ted's coach and fellow players are being less than candid about him, and they look into why Ted asked his attorney uncle to clarify when minors get tried as adults for felonies. Meanwhile, Anne delivers some sad news to Jack.
